Friends Anyone gone from VersaPRO down to VersaSPA

Hello! we have two versapro units that we have had NOTHING but problems with since purchasing. Sunless INC is not helpful at all either.

Curious---Has any salon owner gone from using a VersaPRO back down to using a versa spa? Im considering the switch but worried about clientele complaining that we downgraded and not wanting to pay as much. The pro experience is A+ when it is working but it has been so unreliable.

ThoughtS?

I'm curious also. We have five VersaPRO systems, but have never tried the VersaSpa.

You own 5 so have you had any major problems other than normal wear and tear?

I suppose it depends what you consider "normal wear and tear." We expect to spend an average of $100 per month, per VPRO system, on maintenance and parts. The turbines and drain pumps have been replaced about once a year; the solution pumps and brakes about once every other year.

Re: Anyone gone from VersaPRO down to VersaSPA

We have had heater turbine, slide motor, slider motor brake, solutions leaking, height sensors breaking, solution pump and solution pump solenoids, and sump pumps all go out and need replacing.
Do you all consider this normal wear and tear? maybe we are being unreasonable. our machines are down at LEAST a month in total a year with issues. Some of that comes from that we have no one in northern california that can work on them quick enough and the other that it sometimes takes a week to get a part from Sunless inc.

Sunless inc did however completely rebuild our original Versa Pro at their cost because they think we had a lemon. This convinced us to buy a second one and now we are having the same issues, constantly. We are in need of two more units possibly three and im just nervous to purchase again.

Re: Anyone gone from VersaPRO down to VersaSPA

To the customer a versa spa will feel like a downgrade compared to the pro. They both give great results but the pro has more custom options. My Versa spa is rarely down and I have had it for 8 years. Things like sump pumps and solution pumps will go but not very often and I would say my down time is max 1 day a year. Mind you I fix it myself when it breaks but it is rare that it is down completely and not usable. I think they made the pros to fancy and they were meant to break to bring in more revenue. The originals are pretty solid and don't need much.

This morning my sump pump broke it was last replaced 30 months ago. I disabled power to the pump and turned off wash cycle and can use it till my part comes tomorrow. So no down time but the pump cost 661 Cad with tax.

Similar experience here. I suppose I have learned to expect it, and would consider it "normal," though I would certainly prefer not having to deal with so much maintenance.

I imagine that Sunless would probably recommend the Mystic Kyss for less maintenance.

Mystic Kiss is cheaper to buy but cost per session is much higher than versa so if you own one for awhile it will cost you much more in the end.
