Mystic Tan 5000 Innovation Sound Problem - tanTALK

Have 2005 Innovation SN 0270. Recently stopped all sound on inside and outside speakers. Have checked volume controls....Have removed speakers & wires.... tested ok. Have swapped speaker plugs at control box. Booth operates all functions & operates/sprays perfectly..... but no sound from speakers! Please help!

Don't know anything about an "amp". Both speakers plug into connectors from a large black control box on top of the Mystic. Inside the control box the wires go to a terminal plug that plugs into big circuit board (sorry I'm not a Tech...so don't know the terminology). I can take a picture if that helps. Mystic Tech Support was no help at all..... said something about a Mitsubishi PLC ???? Thanks for your help.

The PLC shouldn't need reprogrammed if all else is operating correctly though. Are you having any other problems than the sound? Is the sound for both inside and outside the booth not working? Have you checked the volume knobs for each?

No other problems....everything works perfectly........except no sound from either speaker. Have rotated both volume controls right/left & back to original position. I'm most puzzled! We are using the booth everyday..... just have to instruct users how to get in & use booth with no sound instructions. Any ideas ????? Thanks

Mystic Tech.... Anyone ....Please help! Can send a picture of my Control box. Speaker wires connect to circuit board at terminal block at top of box. Anyone have an idea what I can test??? Thanks

plug the speaker into another source. just to see if speaker is good.

Removed both speakers.... hooked up to audio output of a stereo system... play perfectly. Surely some Mystic Tech out there has run across this before.... This is a fairly early Mystic so I thought there might be some other sensor in the circuit (for whatever reason) that would prevent/disable the sound. Anyone have an idea ????? Thanks for your help!

Bad time of the season to troubleshoot but if I get some time over the weekend, I'll look in a few of ours and see what the problem might be. The inside of your box looks good right? No water leaks, corroded wiring, burnt circuit boards,etc...

It would be an extreme fluke if both potentiometers (volume knob) went out at the same time for both the internal and external audio, but is possible.

99% if all other functions are working correctly, then it isn't a problem with the PLC. That would leave the circuit to the potentionmeters, itself, and the wiring connection.

Have you tested the audio cables on top of your booth with an ohmmeter to make sure there are no breaks in the wiring or corrosion? (from the control box jack to the speaker leads)
