how to disconnect the connector to th mystc meter?

why is it hard wired to the meter with no quick disconnect? i unscrewed the fitting on top thinking it will let go,but it won't so I had to put it back together

Ahh, once you unscrew that cap, it pulls out? They stick due to the solution being in and around it.

it is gummy , all i saw were wires and i didn't want to break anything... but I pulled on it as hard as I could.....many decades of building cars... and who cant take things apart?

I'll try and take a look tomorrow, as I have 2 meters just sitting in a storeroom. Haven't had to replace cylinders in awhile and can't remember exactly, but I do remember it was difficult until I realized they were stuck from all the goo.

thanks, btw, does anyone sell rebuilt meters? if so what is a "good deal"?

I've got 2...one was clear and one for reg solution. You can just replace your own cylinders. That's what I do.

Seems they go for $250-300 rebuilt. I could be wrong.
