Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Re: Mystic Tan Tool - Only $495 I just find it odd that the criticism of a tool that Mystic suggests that all of their installers have based on cost alone was ridiculous. If you have never used the tool, how can you judge the value of it? Based on price alone? Trust me, I have done it both ways, and the tool is worth every bit of its price - by eliminating broken parts (from the hammer) and speeding up the process. I guess perhaps that it was directed at my product is what bothered me the most - call me thin skinned I guess. I mean, I don't go all over the boards and bash Supra lamps vs. heraeus lamps or anything. Perhaps I should toughen up if I am going to be on these boards..... 8-{) |

I have a whole shop full of tools and plenty that are way more heavy duty than that thing and cost nowhere near the price of that thing. At that price it is a ripoff. Sorry but it is. I will construct one for pennies on the dollar that will work just the same. | |

If Brian wants to buy some parts and manufacture and sell a similar tool for $100, that's up to him. Until then, this tool is worth whatever people will pay. Criticizm of its price is about as pointless as one can get. Amusing, but pointless. |

Sure, it makes the job easier but it is not needed to take the unit apart. That is where the astronomical price is worth discussing, or ridiculing. It would be different if the tool was absolutely required to perform its intended function. |
