If so I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it back in it's circular bag. Ive tried everything. Also do you use this machine for an airbrush business or just personal use?
Ha ha...I had the same problem. I went on You Tube and there are a ton of videos on how to fold a Pop up tent. I found if I folded it in half, length wise, and then brought the center up and did a bit of a twist and fold, it goes back in the circle. But, the easiest thing was to watch the videos on You Tube and with some practice, it's quite simple. I bought the unit for personal use and a small business. I am just starting out and have created a website, Sunsationalsunlesstan.com, and have taken some classes on spray tanning. I've tanned quite a few friends and family, and everyone has been pleased. The Ocean products are nice and the samples are great. I think you will find it applies evenly. You may want to practice spraying with the gun on a piece of cardboard or on a mirror to check the spray pattern and how hard to pull the trigger. Too much spray will cause the product to bead. You want to be sure that you don't use more than about 2 ounces per spray tan. I used too much in the first few tans that I applied. The bronzer goes on nicely, but it takes some practice to spray the bronzer evenly . Spray in good light. The tent is a bit dark, so I turn the tent to the best source of light available. I've added extra light to make sure i can get a good view of the skin I'm spraying.
In addition, I cover the bottom of the tent with a dark towel. The sticky feet are great, but they will pick up the over-spray and soil your carpet or floor if they are not removed after the tan. I've reused the sticky feet several times for myself and keep them in a safe place. The disposable bras that the kit came with are a bit awkward, at first. I prefer to be tanned with no top, but that might not be the case with your friends. So, tuck the ties under and try not to let the extra fabric get in the way. I do remove the gun and use the air hose to dry my clients. However, the spray is cold, so I have a hair dryer attached to a stand that I also have going in the room prior to the tanning session. I warm the client with the warm air and then run the hair dryer over them in combination with the air hose to dry them off. If you over spray, you might find the tan a bit sticky. You can use a dusting of baby powder to dry the clients, or bronzing powder.
I use vaseline on and around my feet and make sure to cover your nails on toes and fingers with lotion. I bought an OTC lotion that I use as barrier cream. It works great. In addition, I bought a box of latex gloves. Be sure to protect your own hands when giving the tan as you won't think you've got DHA on your fingers but it's there and I've had dark fingers for a few days after giving a tan. As for the palms of my clients, I found that sending them home with the latex gloves has helped. They will love the color of the bronzer and since it takes 8 hours or so before they can shower, it's easy to accidently touch your face or body, especially at night. So, I came up with the idea of the latex gloves and then I cut off the finger tips so the gloves are not too restricting and keeps them from the hands getting sweaty. Remind your friend not to touch her body or face while the tan is developing or they will have orange palms.
Remind them that the bronzer is darker than their tan. However, don't be worried after their shower as the DHA will continue to develop even after the bronzer is washed off. The nicest color is about 2 days after the tan. I use Jergens Self Tanner daily glow as my extender. It keeps the color looking nice.
I'm learning so much about the business, so I thought I'd pass along my tips to you...

Wow thank you so much! This has all been so helpful! I really appreciate you taking the time out to help me, and maybe since we have the same machine and have small businesses in this industry we could keep responding with helpful tips and things we have learned?

Absolutely. I have bought the tanning booster drops from Turbo Tan. I also bought the prep spray. I found that the prep spray really needs to be applied lightly and buffed off or it will cause the product to bead. I had some beading on my own tans and ended up blotting the extra solution with a hand towel. It was due to too much spray and the prep spray not dry. I also suggest your client be dry before getting dressed and to provide a robe for them to wear while they dry. I had a gal put her clothes on and smear her bronzer which didn't look good and I was concerned. So I touched her up and sent her home with one of my sweat shirts.
The bonnet they sent needs to be adjusted so that the hair line is natural. I discovered that the elastic on the bonnet needs to line up with the natural hair line or it will cause a line.
The bottom of the tent is really slippery after a tan, so use the towel to cover the tent and then I toss the towel in the wash. I can send you pics of my set up if you want to pm me. I am happy to help!

Re: What about turbo tan for mobile tanning?

I recently purchased the Turbo Tan T800 and I am having serious problems. I do not know if it's me of the machine but everytime I do an application it looks like freckles or tiny splats. Does anyone have any suggestions before I decide to return the equipment?

I am very new at sunless tanning. I have had about 10 friends volunteer to help me get my technique down but every single time, it has been humiliating and I end up wiping the person down. The company did replace the gun part but it stills does the same splattering so I am guessing I may be the problem.

Any suggestions/help is great appreciated.

It could be one of two things, your solution or your technique. Try adjusting the distance. You might be too close or too far away. What solution are you using?

Turn the metal knob in all the way so you can't press the trigger down and the turn it a half of a turn on and it will spray a perfect mist
hope this helps

First, I would like to say, thank you for responding. I am using Ocean solution. I tried adjusting my distance but the farther I get the splats/spots get bigger and the closer I get the solutions beads.

Thank you Shanisesquires for responding. I have a few volunteers coming this week and I will make the adjustment on the knob but I am a little confused on "turn it a half of a turn on". Are you speaking about how I hold the spray gun or the knob that adjust the spray pattern or neither? Sorry I am still new to this stuff.
