Is Fantasy Tan the best? ckalina, today is my first day on this site - and I instantly noticed your post regarding Fantasy Tan because it is the primary system that I have been interested in for the past several months. I am just getting started as well & have been researching all of my options (equipment, solutions, training etc. - and for both a mobile and stationary business). I will also be in the salon 2 days per week and mobile the rest of the time. I actually had a rep from Fantasy Tan come and give me a demo last month & I really liked her presentation and all of the solutions/products/marketing that comes with it. However, I feel like the tan fades considerably faster than others I have tried (Norvell etc.). I will say, though, that FT is the only solution I have tried so far that did not get too dark or have a tinge of orange to it. It was a WONDERFUL brown color and very natural looking (I have fair skin). Plus, it's customizable. Have you heard of other solutions that are the same way? To be honest, I am just turned off by the price of the FT system in comparison to other systems that are out there. I am considering trying a smaller, less expensive and portable unit first and then trying out a bunch of solutions to find the perfect color(s), volume and price point - and then if I don't find anything I like as much as FT, I may bite the bullet at that point. I am just hesitant because of the lack of training that way!?!? Have you figured out what you're going to do? Have you gathered any more info on other, comparible (less expensive) systems and/or solutions and training? Hope you're having better luck than I am! ;-) |

They are beautiful and last anywhere from 5 to 10 days (client care is key to it lasting). Plus the fade nicely. You don't get what I call the "lizard look". They have 4 shades that have the same fragrance and mix nicely. When I am airbrushing I take all 4 with me plus I make my own like premade mixes. My clients RAVE about the colors. |
