Advice in how best to store and transport HVLP gun

Hey everyone, mobile spray tan girl here in tel aviv (the land of no sunless tanning ;)...anybody have any tips on how to safely carry around the HVLP gun so I do not damage the needle? I have been packaging it like a baby to bring to appointments but can anyone suggest a proper storage device or carrying unit?
Thanks so much for any advice is appreciated!!

Re: Advice in how best to store and transport HVLP gun

I have a carrying case for my compressor so I put my gun in there wrapped in a hand towel.

i do the same thing, how ever i have been told that the needle within the gun is super sensitive and if even a millimeter off can create an uneven spray...when i asked the main distributer for machines in my area he said that they are not delicate at all..i wonder how careful do I really have to be with the gun?

Re: Advice in how best to store and transport HVLP gun

I used to treat mine like it was made of eggshells. I mean obviously protect the needle but if it is upright in the case is it very hard for the needle to hit anything hard enough to move it. Especially if it is wrapped up and doesnt have room to move around. Better to be safe than sorry though.

Re: Advice in how best to store and transport HVLP gun

I just put mine in a rolling suitcase with hard sides and put a towel or bubble wrap around it. Mine even has enough room to carry my solution, retail items as well as all the paper work I need. I don't know what machine you have but all of the ones I know about have no logical reason to baby. I would baby the needle when you are cleaning it and it is out of the gun. The needle can bend when it isn't protected but the gun housing.

Re: Advice in how best to store and transport HVLP gun

I guess ive been scared off. years ago, when i was once getting a spray tan the formula splattered while the woman was spraying me. she said she had dropped the gun earlier in the day and now that was happening. she had to replace the needle and get a new gun...
