Sundome 548V Blowing Lamp When Turned On

We are in the process putting new lamps in our Sundome and when we turn it on there is one lamp that keeps on blowing. The ballast and starter have been replaced and we traced the wires and they seem to be good. Not sure what the next step is so we need some help asap!

Have you closely checked the lamp sockets for good contact?

We will check and see. Did change the lamp holder but only did one wire at a time but will definitely check it out. Thanks and hopefully we can get this figured out.

Re: Sundome 548V Blowing Lamp When Turned On

Okay so now that we have changed the ballast, both lamp holders, starter and know for sure that the lamp works we still don't have a working lamp! Husband is beyond frustrated so I thought I would reach out again. Changed the ballast and turned the bed on and the top of the light lit up very bright and burnt out. Changed the ballast which tests good and the lamp did not light up at all. So he changed both lamp holders and now although he is getting power on both side of the lamp but it does not light up. Any ideas? HELP!

Looks like it is a short in the power wire. Used the power wire from the next lamp holder over and it worked fine. Now to put a new wire in.

In the top of the booth, under the dome, is where all your plugs are, one of those may have a short in one of the slots.
