Re: Lamps just turned on by them selves??? Won't shut off...

Tanfixr you rock! I got everything labeled and pulled out of the bed, heat sink removed and the board looks great (no burnt spots). Looking now for someone who can replace this for me. I'm guessing the part should be easy to find? Is there a place you recommend buying them from? If I cant find someone around here I may take you up on your offer to help. Thanks a LOT by the way!

Mouser, Newark, Jameco. The part will be replaceable with a cross-reference NTE part.

You didn't test it correctly like I told you to. Short of knowing how to test the Triacs themselves, you find the bad one by pulling ONE wire at a time to see which one is controlling that particular bank of lamps until you identify the bad triac.

You might need an actual bed tech.

Re: Lamps just turned on by them selves??? Won't shut off...

I did exactly that. Found the problematic triac (or what we thought was the problem) took it to a guy that does board repair who tested the board and found another problem. Installed it and it didnt work. Then I went through and checked each connection, tightend up a few conections to the board and a terminal block in the bed and walla, it worked. But only for a bout half a day. Now the problem has come back only now one of the body fans is slowly turning. Going through everything and checking connections again. Maybe a ground problem?

Ah, you have more problems than the blown triac. Probably a short, maybe on the neutral side, that blew it in the first place. Does the fan turn slowly all the time, or just when bed is on?

Yes sir, turns slowly all the time. Honestly I'm about ready to turn this thing into a coffee table!
