Rep Power: 0 | Problem with tripping breaker and Tanses Bed Hello all, I'm having an issue and cant figure it out. I have a Tanses t72 with a disconnect box in room on 80a breaker with #4 thhn. I changed the bulbs out last week and since then the breaker has been tripping usually by the end of the session or if I re start the bed it will trip a few minutes in. So I hooked up my clamp meter on the line at the bed to the disconnect and it read like 62-64a. Cool looks good. Then I hooked it on the line after disconnect to main panel and it read like 100a. What the heck??? So now i'm stumped. If it was bad caps or something wouldn't it be excessive draw from bed to disconnect? What am I missing? |

Rep Power: 20 | Re: Problem with tripping breaker and Tanses Bed Heat is alway a factor as to ambient temperture,if the bed is running your amp at breaker panel should read the same at bed , start up will shoot over the breaker amp for a second or two but this is figure into the breaker, this is what we call time delay factor.but as time go on and the bed get used more and more heat become a factor, the bed need to cool down go through 4 min cool down and then when shut off customer can go in.There more to the story then you are explaning. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Problem with tripping breaker and Tanses Bed 3 phase panel but all beds are ran 1 phase on 2 pole breakers. Buck boosters on all beds as incoming voltage is 208. I guess I must have had a brain fart cause when I measured current again the problem is at the bed as it was like 90a. So I started checking caps and wasnt getting any current through one so I replaced it and the bed dropped to 80a running. Still to high. Everything else on bed is running fine. All 64 lamps and 8 facials are good to go. So I started checking rest of Caps and there is some differences in current one some of them. They all daisy chain so I can see how one bad one effects others. So final current check and on one row I have like 12a running into row of caps, and next few at 12 then one at 7, then one at 3. Crap I dont know. Anyone care to educate me more on capacitors and what to look for. Caps are all 50 muf 370 vac |
