UltraSun Timer POPPED!

Got an ultrasun bed in my salon. Wired everything up. Checked power. Everything was set except the timer. Got timer info from previous owner said it would work with a turn style timer and just set the bed to turn on and the timer dictate power.

Lo and behold. 3 wire timer into a 2 wire timer, timer terminals were backwards. There was a pop at the unit and the front face with the display did not light up any longer.

I took pictures, but what in here could have went bad. Do i need to replace a control board, just a capacitor? Im wondering if anyone went through this before.

Ended up buying another T-Timer for when I get the face fixed.

Thanks gurus.

Re: UltraSun Timer POPPED!

I sold Ulrtasun for many years and the weakest link was the timer. More than likely you blew much more than the caos on the board, but if have some skills you can split the boards (be careful of the resistors connecting the two boards) and start replacing parts.
Might have one in stock if you still need one uvatanningservice@gmail.com
Good luck

Re: UltraSun Timer POPPED!

Thanks for the advice and the e-mail I will most likely be messaging you later today. I took apart the board, but nothing was evident of what burned. Now I am having a problem with our Sontegra Double Shot. Tanning beds are going down left and right!
