Question Sunstar Speed 175 and Tmax 3A Please Help!

I am having a problem with a sunstar 175 bed and the tmax 3a
(wired) hook up. There is one phone line type cord that goes to the bed from the Tmax 3A and a wire from the power box on the tmax that is the power cord to plug into the wall.

The bed is wired into the correct outlet with a buck box.

There is power that goes to the Tmax box. When it is on it displays all sorts of #s. It will count down from 3. After 3-2-1 the Tmax sometimes clicks but nothing else. The bed does not activate.

There is power to the bed's green start button and stop button and digital display. It counts up to 20 on the beds display but it does not count down or turn on.

As we purchased this from an individual, not a retailer, we do not have a warranty or even a manual. . .I know, I know - silly.

We are supposed to be up and running by this Monday 5/3/10

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any info!

Are you trying to run it directly with a 3a or is the 3a connected to a manager? The bed will connect directly to a manager, just make sure the manager is powered up before the bed.

The bed can also run stand alone if needed.

We were trying to just run it through the 3a because we couldn't get the manager to run correctly either. Maybe because we were trying to run it with the 3a and perhaps the 3a is defective?

We tried to run the bed by itself. . .no dice. Power is there and the display on bed is on but when the green start/clock timer button is pushed it just gives you the option of counting to up or down to/from 20 and doesn't actually turn on.

Is there an on button that we are missing somewhere to manually turn the bed lamps on?

We are starting to feel really silly that we can't figure this out and any help is much appreciated!

Thanks,

Karey & Whitney

You need to set the address on the bed timer and then you can run it directly from the manager.

How do I do that? Whitney thought the address was already set but maybe not. Does it need to coincide with the manager? Also, what hook up cords are needed for the manager? Our just came with the phone cords but it looks like there is also a spot on the manager for a heavier type of cord (did not come with it the cord though) like maybe to a computer? The ones that plug in then have the two screws on the sides that screw in.

Also, we were just thinking that at this point, it may be easier just to run the bed manually??? How do we get the bed to turn on that way (the lamps wont turn on but they are new and all appear to be all the way turned in to there places)?

Contact ETS (www.etstan) through their website or by phone - I'm sure they could send you a manual.
