Mega power problem fans?

I have a Mega power bed that all of the internal the cooling fans stopped coming on, both those that go on when bed is on and come on and stay on when unit is hot. At the same time the face tanners started going on and off, possibly due to the higher temps.
Originally they came on the instant the bed was turned on. Then for a while they would click on intermittently soon after start up reducing to never coming on except until the bed was going for 15 minutes or so then they finally click on when it is really hot inside. Can anyone direct me to the part (relay?) and location of the part to trouble check/replace to get the fans cooling again?

Re: Mega power problem fans?

You have a burned or loose connection or a bad contactor or both. Crack it open and look for melted stuff.

Re: Mega power problem fans?

I did not see anything that looked any thing other than like new inside. I added pictures of the main lower board area and the upper canopy by the fans and face tanners to my original post.

Re: Mega power problem fans?

Here is the contactor on the left and the fan delay relay on the right. Replace the delay relay on the right.

To test for sure, take a jumper wire and connect terminal 15 to 18 and the fans should come on. It will be the center screw with the little brown jumper wire in it at the bottom pictured and the top right pictured with the red wire in it.

If you need a part then let me know.

Re: Mega power problem fans?

Brian,

About 3 yrs ago you helped me fix my tanning bed fans. ( I bought a fan delay relay from you) Thanks worked great. Now I have a new problem. After sitting all summer the bed won't start. The timer is all jazzed and it won't start bed. If i press the center portion (ponit of the marker in photo of the "relay/contactor" thing the bulbs come on. The first few time I pushed it the fans would come on too. But now the fans don't come on too. Please let me know if you have the parts to fix

Thanks
Lane
