Rep Power: 0 | Puretan ellipse IV HELP!!!! Ok! I bought a 2005 ellipse IV with 700hrs on it for 1500.00. I have been dealing with beds for 12years and do all my own diagnostics and part replacing> But this one i am stumped on. I hooked the bed up and all the bulbs on the bench work. Three bulbs and the facials work on the canopy(Thats it). I triple checked the connections to the balast tray. It's not bulbs or starters! Can anyone help!!!!! Also on my multi-meter there is voltage to the bulb sockets. Keep in mind that none of the fans run either. |

Measure phase to phase, not phase to ground or you are just reading feedback through the components of the same phase. |

Now - even my silly UV meters have a "system" ground which is magically a constant 3V below battery ground. Cannot imagine diagnosing my lcd tv sets! | |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Puretan ellipse IV HELP!!!! Well on your car there is one hot wire and one ground. That is why you could measure hot to ground because ground is a current carrying conductor. The bed would have two hots and one ground. Some have three hots and a ground. Ground is just for safety anyway and is not a current carrying conductor in the bed though but still references neutral when measured that way. Choke ballasts run at 230 volts so measuring the system by referencing a 120 volt system is pointless and confusing because of feedback through other components. |
