One Lamp Not working. Please help.

I have an old Power Sun 32 bed with one lamp in the bottom out. I changed the starter and the lamp but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

look for obvious things like burnt out wires, loose wires, strange smells, etc.

Re: One Lamp Not working. Please help.

Thank you. That is next on my list to check. Unfortunately it is in the back on the bottom so I have to take the shocks off to get to them, I was hoping to avoid that but oh well, I guess that is better than paying a tech to come out.

Talking Re: One Lamp Not working. Please help.

Sorry guys. I was not trying to offend anyone. I am just like most small town tanning salon owners who is not in a position to spend money if I can avoid it. I thought the point of this forum was just for that. If there are people out there that are in a position to lend some friendly advice, I welcome it. If you are a tech that is upset that I am asking for help to save a buck if I can, then I'm sorry. For the most part, in the threads that I have read on here, people are trying to help one another out by offering suggestions. I realize that I may end up hiring someone to come out and fix it eventually but if I can fix it myself, for free, that is much better for me. Thanks.

Re: One Lamp Not working. Please help.

Just giving you a hard time. I give plenty of free advice on these boards, just don't send the tone that it is a ripoff to have a professional in the field come out and have your bed up and running in a hour. We have to eat too and it costs money to offer a specialized service to an industry.

Everyone thinks that it is no big deal to spend half the day on the road just to get to your place and back and bring the knowledge needed to safely and reliably repair your units so you can confidently place your customers back in them.

Trucks are expensive when you wear them out in three years and they have no trade in value. Fuel is expensive when you go 200 + miles a day. When you see your oil change guy every three weeks... Parts are expensive to stock so there are all the right parts on the truck to fix your machine right the first trip.

And you can't put a price on experience. Think about how much money you lose when a machine is down for weeks and can be fixed in usually an hour for most problems by someone that knows what they are doing. You retain more customers when their favorite bed is running the next time they come in instead of, "Well we haven't got that bed going yet, I can't figure it out."

Without the tradesmen you would have no business.
