Taking off TMAX 3A

Hello. Just looking for some advice. Have had the salon for several years, and just had to close because my husband passed away. I sold my old Sunvision ZX30, but it's giving the buyer an error code 88. I know this is because it was hooked up to a TMax Manager and a TMax 3A. How do we set the display on the bed so it knows there is no longer a TMax connection?

get a RJ22 end from home depot and twist the yellow and green together and the black and red together, plug into back doesn't matter which socket go in. shut bed down of course.

Re: Taking off TMAX 3A

Is this basically making a bypass plug, Suncity? I found a bypass plug, and now we're getting the 88 alternating with "id."

Re: Taking off TMAX 3A

Called ADI (TMax manufacturer) and they said 88 indicated something was wrong with the tanning bed, and we needed to call ETS. My buyer called JK (ETS support), and they were told that we might need a new display board. That doesn't make sense because it was working completely fine before the move.

Re: Taking off TMAX 3A

the unit defaults to 8.8 when the display and main board are not communicating properly. In that bed, the Main board and display are connected by one standard phone cord in the canopy. Could be any of the three pieces, but typically the display board is the issue. It happens.

Re: Taking off TMAX 3A

The man and his electrician friend bought the bed with a buck booster hard wired in line from a salon Most likely 208 vac then hooked it up too 240 to 250vac at his house. His electrician never checked the output from transfformer. Could be as high as 272vac to 282vac

Re: Taking off TMAX 3A

If the person who bought it tested it before it was moved then it's their problem.
Or if they are friends, just give them the money back as they picked up a bed that really has no value.

Re: Taking off TMAX 3A

Check wiring to display. Probably was reversed. Get a new display board.
