Red Light Therapy

Do customers prefer lay down red light or stand up? Does anyone think that the red light therapy combo with Red light and UV is a good idea?

Re: Red Light Therapy

Red light is dead right now. With the FDA cracking down on the red light manufactures, I doubt that you could buy a red light bed or even the lamps from most distributors.

Because tanning salons are taking money from Derms.

Re: Red Light Therapy

Light therapy is doing very well here, but we're an unregulated state. I don't expect that to last forever, but it's pretty popular right now. I believe Brian still sells red light lamps.

We have two beds with the following configuration:

The red circles are 620nm red lamps, the blue circles are New Tech's Blue Wonder tubes, and the purple ones are 660nm red lamps.

Re: Red Light Therapy

I would assume if you mixed red lamp with uv lamps you would get a very uneven tan. They have different purposes.

Yeah, I wouldn't mix red light with tanning lamps for that reason.

What do the blue do, that the red don't. Where'd ya get the other than 620?

Blue are antimicrobial, for acne prevention. They also help with skin diseases such as psoriasis and neurodermatitis. They are marketed for S.A.D. as well.

I got the Blue Wonders from John Hayes, and the 660s from Steve in Weyauwega.

Re: Red Light Therapy

I would say most definitely lay down. It is so relaxing, why would you want to stand for 15 minutes. We have gotten so many people from the competition solely because theirs is a standup.
