Arms & legs won't tan !!!

I've been using tanning beds for 20 + years and have never had this happen......My legs and arms will not tan! I am usually quite pale (blonde, blue eyes) but am able to tan (indoors and out) quite easily with a little time. I do burn easily if done too quickly. I explained all this at the salon - not my usual salon - they closed down, and he said I'd be better in their level 3 beds/booths. I quickly went from 6 minutes to the full 12 in 8 visits. I do not think it's bad lamps because my face, neck, chest, stomach, back are all getting tan. My face actually got burnt today because obviously 12 minutes is too much, however my arms and legs have absolutely no color at all! Is there something wrong with my extremities??? I moisturize a lot and use australian gold accelerator. Any ideas? TIA :)

go tanning right after a workout and try using a tingle on your difficult parts to tan and make sure you cover your face most of the time! :)

Thanks Eileen :) I'll try that, a friend of mine also suggested tingle. I usually limit my face exposure by covering it up with the towel, but I went in a booth just to see if that would make a difference....but just got a burnt face and chest!

Re: Arms & legs won't tan !!!

I have used bar soap for years. After getting sick of cleaning scum off the shower, my main asked me to switch to shower gel. I generally hate shower gels. But I switched and holly-cow, my legs are DARK. And I always moisturize head to tow, legs did not appear dry before switching.

Just something to consider if you recently switched any shower products that may be over-drying skin or leaving a film.
