Facial tanner

What are some really good facial tanners for sensitive skin (that you have actually used)? Now I've read a few posts on this site but not sure if any was what I was looking for.

About me:

- I'm skin type 2
- Skin tends to be sensitive (i.e. I want it non-pore clogging)
- I never used any facial tanners/bronzers before

Is there an actual difference between a facial tanner and bronzer.

My sister's wedding is coming up in less than 2 weeks and I really wanna look good. I need to make 101% sure that if I use it, it doesn't look fake at all (especially if it's not spread out evenly on my face). I need/want it be as natural as possible.

thank you

Buy Norvel Amber Sun 4 Faces- about $10. It is not labeled "For sensitive skin", everyone is different and you will just have to try and see. Patch test it in a small area.

Stay away from generic drug store items and you will prob have better luck.

I have sensitive skin as well. And I use:
John Abate- Carotene Creme"Vitamin-rich dye-free complexion creme for tanners. Use during indoor tanning sessions on the face to enhance melanin production and protect moisture levels. Also use daily to reduce wrinkles maintain tan, moisturize and maintain complexion."

I've heard really good reviews on MR International- iFace. I have yet to try it personally.

You may want to just try the Mystictan or have it airbrushed. Considering that you are wanting to look good for an upcoming event.

Or.. Do you want a tanning lotion to use in the tanning bed that has bronzers in it for your face?

The John Abate cream I mentioned earlier is a GREAT but it does not have bronzers.

If you give be a little more information on what you want I can def help you.

The best facial tanner we have ever offered was All About Me's facial aerosol. Its a clear spray so nothing comes off on clothing. Everyone loved it, out of stock now but they told me they should be carrying it again real soon. People loved that they could get sprayed then take this with them to keep face color. Can't wait til they get them in again, not only are our clients asking for them, I used it myself.

If you can't find a facial tanning lotion you like, you can always purchase a facial bronzing powder for your face. Just make sure if you have to put anything on that goes over your head, like a t-shirt for example, #1 don't apply the bronzer until you have on what you are wearing or #2, put a clean towel over your head and make sure your face is covered so if you have to put your dress on over your head, you won't get the powdered bronzer on it.

Once you apply your facial bronzing powder, take a tissue and wipe your face lightly with it to get off any excess powder in case you applied too much.

There are alot of good bronzing powders out there and Cal Tan has a very good one. It is not too dark and looks very natural and also is very close to being water-proof. I know this because I was wearing it and I was dancing, sweating like a pig and it didn't " run down my face " like the sweat that was running down my face at the time LOL.

I hope this helps :)

Re: Facial tanner

If you do decide to go with using a bronzing facial powder, when you apply make sure you DON'T stop right at your jaw line. When you get to your jaw line, use less of the bronzing powder and lightly go under your jaw line but don't go too far down your neck because if you do, everytime you move your head, like maybe if you were to look down at your " breast area " of your dress, you will get the bronzing powder on your dress but ONLY if your dress is high up near your neck line.

You have a few weeks, right, so I am sure you will find something that will help you look your best. Try using a tanning bed with multiple face tanners in the canopy of the bed, or if your tanning salon has a Face Tanning Unit, try using that to help get your face area dark.
If you do use it, you will be sitting in front of the unit about a foot or so away from the facial lamp(s), so you can pull down your shirt, if you can pull it down, so you can expose and tan your neck and your upper chest area.

I have found that the DS face lotions work great, however I have clients that cant use the privelage because the silcone clogs their pores and they break out with huge welps. I however use crystal faces by AG and love it.
Ricky13 I think its all good. :) I just checked it out so you know people are getting all this great info. BTW love the post on lotion ingrediants. I have a number of people ask why petroleum is bad for ya now I have more to go on.
