Rep Power: 0  | Tanning after chicken pox? Hi folks, what, in your opinion, is the bottom line for tanning after chicken pox? Can it help camouflage the scars till they heal over naturally? (usually takes months and the idea is to speed up the process) non-infectious stage. This is merely cosmetic. dark spots, fair skin=obvious dark skin, dark spots = seemingly clearer complexion. thanks |

Rep Power: 21  | Re: Tanning after chicken pox? You should keep out of the sun while chicken pox lesions are healing. Being in the sun can cause you to sweat, which may make it more uncomfortable and increase itching. Also, the areas where chickpox lesions are healing are also more prone to sunburn until they have totally healed and they are more likely to permanently scar if exposed to too much direct sunlight.
