I don't think I was on the site when this thread was active. Beaners is right on.
Of course you want to tan again it makes you feel great. Do you want to burn to get darker? Those are different issue altogether in my mind like an addiction or stupidity.
Dr. Cannell explains it nicely here. Make note you don't get this wonderful benefit from D3 supplements.

My friend is so extremely dark, but she sees herself as being too pale.so she tans every single day and when she doesnt tan she has to go first thing in the morning the next day...its a problem.shes addicted
