Help with Tinea

Hey, I've searched through the forums and have seen alot of Tinea posts. They were all very insightful. Heres my Story: Had Tinea 4 years ago, took it off, tanned nicely in the summer. Last year It came back on my stomach and stayed a bit. This year about May 5 I got the Ketoconazole Pills for 7 days and the Ketoconazole cream. I used both over and over. My spots became red, itchy, and the skin dried out for over a week. Then i decided to start tanning them out. I have went 3 times so far in the lowest machine possible, HT 42? I think. The spots still look sorta white, but I just cant tell. I havent used any lotion in the machine so far, so maybe tmorrow Ill definitely do that. Do i need to go more than 3 times? I just want to know if its a GRADUAL tanning with the spots disappearing and I shouldnt think to much for instant results? Should i UP the machine?.. I'm still treating myself vigorously with Ketconazole shampoo and Sulfide and it leaves my skin dry at times. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

Re: Help with Tinea

Just go 2 times a week until you are to where you want to be. It will be irritating with the dry skin but eventually it'll just be gone.

Re: Help with Tinea

I understand. Thing is now my skin doesn't irritate when I put on Ketoconazole/Selenium Sulfide... so I'm guessing its all killed off?

Re: Help with Tinea

You use it for as long as directed to, never stop when you "think" its gone. If there is no direction for use, just use it longer than needed - maybe add on another 10 days. Even though it looks gone, it may not be.

Its like when people take antibiotics. People stop before then prescription ends because they feel better. Then they get sick again because it was not really all gone, and too boot there may be some antibiotic resistance now!
