I have been facing the problem of pimples for a couple of years. Although I have tried a few of the products available in the market but they don’t seem to be as good as they can get. These things really give you a bad look and make you stand out in the crowd for no reason. Can anyone suggest me a good product to help me get better results?

Go tanning... with no cream or lotion...it will dry out the acne!

absolutely. Tanning is #1 when it comes to clear skin. It's the only thing that works for me and I've tried everything.

Also, stop using bar soaps, SPF, benzoyl peroxide products or anything that's drying. It's bad news.

Just 2-3times a week in a standup booth if possible. Start at half the time and every week add 1 min till you get to where you feel the booth is doing its job.

Clients have told me that Designer Skins "Vanishing Act" works really well for both tanning and general home skin care. For $20 it may be worth finding some and trying it.

The best thing you can do is wash your face, toner then at the salon use a JA Face Oil (if available) for the niacin flush and hit the tanning booth.

If that's not available I'd just tan without anything on the face. You are trying to dry out the area not clog it up. Lotion will just clog it up in most cases.

I'd use the standup cause you aren't touching your skin on the bed.

Tanning works for some people, but it other people it can make things worse. Basically, if you dry out your skin w/ tanning then you can get a rebound effect with excess oil production. Personally, tanning is a great for any acne I have...but I know others who break out much worse 2 weeks later. If you acne is deep and cystic, you probably need accutane. If it is surface acne, then you can use topicals (from prescription to drugstore) - but all of these treatments don't allow sun exposure. Even simple things like benzoil peroxide (oxy 10) tell you to stay out of the sun.

IMO, The best skincare line for adult acne is Dermalogica - you can only get it at salons that do facials, etc... it's very expensive but very worth it. The clay masque is $40 or so but you get 10-15 uses and it's practically a miracle. The daily cleanser is also expensive but lasts 6 mos and is great. I see all the proactiv hype ...but heard that's very hit or miss. You can also check out acne.org.

You need to watch what you are doing. Wipe off your phone before you hold it to your face, make sure you're not touching your face with your hands. Proactive is awesome but it stops working after a while. My dermatologist recommended the Clinique skin care line. If you wear hats, you'll more than likely break out around your forehead more and sometimes conditioner can make you break out too.
