Where do I begin???

I am 28 years old and I have light skin, blue eyes. I do burn in the sun but I can also tan if I am careful. The problem I have is I cannot figure out what kind of lotion I need to begin with to get a base tan. I am going to start tanning in a salon but I want to makes sure I get the right stuff. I have done alot of searching and the product I want to go with is Swedish Beauty. Is there anyone who knows what to start out with? I am not familiar with all this tanning stuff lol. All I want is to have some color. I am not looking to get really dark. Also keep in mind that my upper body hasn't seen the sun lol. Anyways if you could help I would greatly appreciate it!

buy samples and then when you find something you like buy it. Best way to do it and you can try a bunch of different ones without spending bank for a bottle.

As for tanning, anything will get you tan.

Funny, "All I want is to have some color. I am not looking to get really dark."

I get this all the time and I get very confused by it. I'm thinking that the orange spray tan girls caused this and now everyone thinks this is what happens when you go tanning.

That's what happens when you tan incorrectly. STAY AWAY FROM THE KIDDIE SALONS. They are nightmares and all they do is sell you bronzers cause the tanning beds don't do anything but light up and turn you red.

I would say is you should ask your salon, its their duty to help you get the lotion you want. They can best help you as they can skin-type you. They may also sell you samples to help you decide what you like and dislike.

But what from Swedish Beauty interests you?

Check out inbed yogo, AG's Naturally Dark, Designer Skin Paradisio and Tanology's Pure Hyddration. That should cover most price ranges.

I don't like to get really dark... there are very good reasons. I just think not many people can do the very dark look and look good. If you have dark hair, dark eyes and a dark face your features don't show up very well!

Thank you! I like the swedish Beauty because it helps to fight the aging. Some of the reasons why I haven't gone tanning before is because I am afraid to look old young lol. But I figure if I go and tan a little bit it won't hurt too much. And in the process taking care of my skin

And good lotion will fight aging when tanning, but in the scope of things aging while tanning is the least of the concerns. A good daily moisturizer and one specific to the face and neck will do more work than just a tanning lotion. Dont smoke and eat healthy. I am betting on the list of things that can cause aging, tanning is not near the top!

If you're afraid of too much exposure to your face just get something the light doesn't shine through to cover your face and only allow your face to tan a 1/4 of the time you tan. We have several face covers for our clients to use. Also if you use a bed with facials just lay in the opposite direction and use those lamps for your legs instead.

What are the facials? I am also going to get a swedish beauty after tanning lotion. I think I will start out with Tantalize T1.
