Rep Power: 0 | Skin around mouth won't tan. I've been tanning for quite some time. Probably about 2 years or so. About 3 months ago I noticed that the area around my mouth isn't tanning. I'm not sure if it's maybe because I might forget to put lotion in that exact area, but I do put it on my face ..or if it's maybe because of the acne products that I use? It just looks kind of stupid if I don't have make-up on. Or could it be a skin condition? *btw, I was using Murad Acne complex, but have switched to Clean & Clear Advantage. (Just in case that might have something to do with it) |

I am wondering if the one you are using is, for the lack of a better word, "leaching" into the skin surrounding the lips? Otherwise blemish treatment topicals often work by drying out the skin and dry skin does not like to tan well. I looked up the products you used and there was no mention of them containing SPF.

I use a lot of Avon and Mark cosmetics. I did, however, tan without make-up (powder) on yesterday and I do think it helped some. I usually don't have time to take it off before I go. Could this be it? It just seems weird though, if it is, why it would only not tan in that one area? www.meetmark.com |
