Interesting point. My husband is also a doctor (pediatrician) and he's always talking about how doctors are just barely starting to realize that they need to base their medical practice on science and evidence rather than just doing what they've always done. The problem lies in the fact that it's very difficult to do true scientific research on human subjects.
