Getting Facial Acne from Tanning
I have two customers who say they are getting a heat rash or acne like condition on their face after tanning. They usually cover their face with a towel while tanning and notice it more if they take the towel off of their face. They've been with our salon for almost 2 years now. We haven't changed laundry soap for our towels. As far as I know, they do not apply a lotion to their face. I am uncertain if they remove their make-up first. This has just been a recent occurence. They haven't experienced it previously. What could be the cause or cure?

well heat rash and acne are 2 totally different things.

I haven't actually seen this skin condition on their face. An employee relayed the message to me. She said it looks like acne. One of these customers stopped tanning for a week until it cleared up. What could it be?

Most people here tan to clear up their acne...
I've never had anyone say that they got acne from tanning...

Rosacea can look a lot like acne. Triggers can be Overheating, direct sun, hot foods, hot showers, saunas, excessively warm environments, and extreme weather (strong winds, cold, humidity).
