so i've reached a pretty decent base tan. i'm tanning the full 12 minutes no problem, and i dont get burned when i'm outside in the sun all day. How often during the week should i tan while keeping my skin still healthy. my bf is worried i'm tanning too much. i was tanning near every day, but he thinks i should cut it down to 2 days a week. i'm using DS Bronze Bondage, and love it. I keep trying to explain to him that using lotion is not a temporary fix, it is to keep the moisture in your skin because tanning takes it out of it. its just so hard to explain to him, he doesn't get it.

I maintain my tan by tanning once a week, sometimes twice a week.

Use good tanning lotion AND moisturizer, but I think you're already doing that.

It depends on how well you keep your tan and what type of tanning bed you are using. I only need to tan once a week for 8 to 10 mins. I'm not a fan of self-tanner lotions. Like Marca said make sure you use a tanning lotion and a moisturizer. If your salon has a hydration station that helps a lot with keeping your skin moisturized.
