Sounds like you may have Tinea Versicolor. It is a type of fungis, go to a real salon in your area and have them help you.

The spots could be dry spots. Use a good tanning lotion and moisturizer purchased at a TANNING SALON (not your local gym or department store). You should even notice yourself being a few shades darker.
