No, we are not selling pkgs for the Lumiere anymore because it is sitting in my living room at my house. We had to remove it from the salon to put a tanning bed in so we could actually make money on that room. People bought pkgs in the beginning but no more than 6 people signed up for a second pkg and nobody signed up for a third. They did not see enough results. They just saw a little bit and that is not enough for most people. So it sits in our house along with our other mistakes: a powerwave, an oxygen bar, a massage chair, and an infrared wrap (which never made it to the salon, we wanted to use it ourselves in our house). So we acually have a spa in our home now. Maybe we could charge the neighbors to come over and use everthing. We couldn't get our customers to pay for any of these. We've learned our lesson finally. Do not stray from what you do best. |

Why do we put this $30,000 piece of equipment in the corner or take it home and not fight back? I need some help here. I'm mad as **** !!! |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Lumiere (Anyone making money?) TJ, has there been a call back from RAI on "relocating" your machine? I just got thru reading all the posts and I was also told the same thing about national marketing and jump on early. I received my unit in November 05 and spent over $5K in local advertising, free sessions, etc. and nothing... I was acually called 2 times by their marketing dept. to see if I was interested in buying a machine. They don't even know who has the machines. Both of my reps have quit. If a group wants to get together and make a call to a lawyer pm me. This is a joke, but a way too expensive joke. The only place I see them advertising is in the trade mags to sell to more salons - nothing to the public. And the 2 page marketing kit, give me a break. Sorry, I have to go make a $700 payment. |

Rep Power: 24 | Re: Lumiere (Anyone making money?) HELLO Alwaystanner, Yes I was e-mailed back by Ray about relocating my machine. He said he was sorry about my mis-fortune and my mis-understanding about the marketing program of the Lumiere machine. He also said he had no intentions of helping me out because he was aware of my thread on Tan Talk. He said I had discouraged others in my market area from buying a Lumiere machine. A friend of mine who owns a salon about 50 miles from me just sold her salon and the new owners wanted nothing to do with the Lumiere machine. It is in her garage at home. She told the financing company to come and pick it up. She also is ready to join me in contacting an attorney. I will PM you. I can't believe so many people were sucked into this and won't voice their anger. Have you noticed the new Ads now say that Lumiere is for the salon that has maxed out in the tanning business and are looking for new avenues of revenue???? .....LOL-I have pictures of Ray and Tony singing a song called "The Death of the Slow Season" What a Joke. So Glad to hear from you. You've stoked my fire................... Last edited by TJ; 07-18-2006 at 01:19 PM. |

Takes about 30days to see results... Really...wouldn't most acne be cleared up by then anyway???? And that was the last I heard of that nonsense. |
