Re: Eczema How to treat in salon

A doctor prescribing "tanning bed treatments"? Think about this for a moment. The doctor might have said that exposure to sunlight would help the disorder, but even this needs to be questioned. There are different types of eczema. It would be extremely irresponsible for you to allow the child to use the tanning bed knowing about his skin disorder. This kid is 13. Eczema is a miserable problem for anyone and a very tough skin condition to treat. What if the parent causes the skin to worsen? They might sue you. I would watch this situation and take steps to protect your business.

Re: Eczema How to treat in salon

To my understanding there are 2 types of eczema...wet and dry. Tanning only benefits wet eczema.

I'm not sure why you would only put him in a stand up. You make it sound like it's contagious and don't want him in a bed. I would put him in whatever bed has the higher UVB.

I don't know what state you are in but here it is against the law for anyone under the age of 14 to tan even with a Dr's prescription .
