Rep Power: 21 | Just had a girl come in to tan. She has been tanning about a month for a vacation. Well she just came in today and has a fever blister. Man is it huge. I don't know what to tell her to get rid of it. She is devastated. I told her in the future to use an spf lip balm everytime she tans but that does not help her now. Any suggestions I feel awful for her! |

Rep Power: 0 | I've found one interesting site in the Internet http://www.770k.com. This company offers favorable services: 770k works in a correct direction, explaining, that such projects are necessary for the development of a modern society and sights. Is it joke? |

Rep Power: 0 | suggest that she take lysine for her cold sores it will reduce them dramatically. Living in Florida sun poisoning is a dangerous and I always use a spf lip balm on my lips to avoid this and getting sunburned in general although dummy here forgot suncreen in general yesterday at the Bucs game and got sunburned but we won so it was worth it. Rep Power: 107 | All of the products listed above work really good, but if your client's cold sore is really big she could probably get a perscription from her doctor. I have a customer who had this happen awhile back...very, very large. Anyways, she had to see her doctor because she was in so much pain. She ended up with a scrip for some type of cream that is used for treating herpes. It worked well for her. It's worth checking into. |

Rep Power: 21 | If you are not a Doctor, Pharmacists or a Natural Health Practitioner Please be aware of the side effects and the proper use of the herbs when recommending the use of herbs. What people don’t know about herbs can hurt them. Tea Tree Oil Taking tea tree oil by mouth may possibly cause serious side effects such as confusion, loss of muscle control, or coma. Even small amounts of tea tree oil may be harmful if swallowed by young children. Using tea tree oil orally is not recommended due to these risks. One case of coma has been attributed to taking approximately 4 ounces of tea tree oil by mouth. Another case involved an adult who developed a rash and a significant increase in white blood cells after using a small amount of tea tree oil orally. In another report, a small child who swallowed about 2 teaspoons of tea tree oil showed signs of drowsiness and the inability to coordinate muscle movement. Some reliable evidence associates decreased or lost hearing with the use of 100% tea tree oil in the ear. Therefore, tree oil preparations should not be put into the ears. While tea tree oil is usually mild, several cases have been reported of individuals who developed itchy skin rashes from using tea tree oil or from handling parts of tea trees. Because tea trees contain chemicals similar to those found in the pine tree family, individuals who are sensitive to pine needles or resin may also be sensitive to tea tree oil. L-lysine L-lysine, a common form of lysine, is an essential amino acid required but not produced by humans. Consequently, it is important that humans include ample amounts in their diet. Proteins, including those found in meat, poultry, and milk contain high amounts of L-lysine. Conversely, proteins that come from grains and grain products are usually low in L-lysine. Small amounts of L-lysine are also found in vegetables and fermented foods such as yogurt and miso. Researchers now believe that lysine is instrumental in helping the body to absorb and conserve calcium, but lysine serves many other important functions in the body. Lysine appears to interfere with the replication of herpes and is prescribed by doctors to individuals who suffer from cold sores or have contracted genital herpes. Although not completely conclusive, trials investigating the benefits of lysine on cold sores support the use of lysine for this purpose. Since lysine supplementation increases the absorption of calcium and may reduce its excretion, some researchers are confident that lysine may some day play a role in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. L-lysine would be my choice of recommendations David Hoyt MS, CPT, NHP |
