Rep Power: 0 | Hi, I hope someone can answer my question. But when I tan, either outdoors w/ the sun, or in a tanning salon, around my abdomen area, the tan is very splotchy. Almost looks like I have some kind skin disease. Is it cuz there's a lot of fat accumlated there or something? LOL It doesn't do this anywhere else on my body, just my abdomen stomach area. Is there a way to get rid of it or prevent it? Thanks, Patty |

Rep Power: 20 | Are they white spots? Like little areas that don't tan? If so, it may be tinea versicolor, which is basically an overgrowth of the natural yeast that is found on the skin. Everyone has this yeast, but some people's immmune systems can't control it's growth. When it flares up, it prevents the areas from tanning. There are lots of products out there to treat it. You can try something like Wipe Out by Body Drench (your salon should be able to get it for you), or you can see a doctor and get a medication there. |
