Rep Power: 0 | I was wondering.... since I have found out I am pregnant I am no longer tanning in tanning salon. They do offer a spray salon tan which is safe for pregnant women.I have terrible sun spots which do appear when i tan. Will they also become more visible with spray tanning also??? |

Rep Power: 71 | NO, probally spray tanning won't cover your spots up but they will not make them worse either. When spray tanning pregnate make sure you check to see if they use alcohol in the solution this is bad to inhale. Congradulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Rep Power: 24 | What do you consider sun spots are they white or dark ? If they are dark then yes the spray tanning will cause them to pop (really show up) I have sprayed more than 600 people. Make sure that they provide you with a nose plug & mouth peice. No solution should enter into any mucus membrains including private areas. |

Rep Power: 71 | I have never had someones sunspots come out more, even if they are dark ones. That's like saying your freckles will appear darker or more prominate with spray tanning . Sunspots are found in the dermis layer and because dha only penetrate through the first three layers of the epidermis it really shouldn't effect it. I personally have sun damage spots on my face:( and I have only been doing sunlesson myself for 3 years. I don't use my beds at all and I never seen my spots get worse if anything it blends them in. I to, have sprayed alot of people over 3000 full body sprays using over 16 different solutions and I have been a esthetican for 11years with my own practice for 7 years I never seen them pop out more.I guess the only thing you can do is try. Good luck and again congradulations on your pregnancy. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: Tanology on 2005-07-22 11:34 ][ This Message was edited by: Tanology on 2005-07-22 12:15 ] |

Rep Power: 0 | I have a few people who have sun spots that get darker when i spray them, i put some lotion on those places and then they dont get so dark. They blend better. I also have clients with virtigillo, that have spots that are whiter and when they tan and i airbrush those places first, then tan the whole body and they are not as noticeable either. |

Rep Power: 71 | Abtanner, I bet it feels good to help people with vitiligo. It can be such a devastating disease so spray tanning is probally perfect for them. I have never sprayed anyone with vitiligo.Have you ever seen it on the face or what parts have you seen the vitiligo on? Is it the whole body or certain areas you customers have it? Does it seem to stay the same on the Lighter areas of the skin or does it come off faster there? thanks |

Rep Power: 0 | thanks everyone so much for the info. I needed it. My sunspots are white in color and show darker when I tan. Was wondering if I did spray tanning since baby is on the way if that would blend them or make sunspots more noticeable. Thanks again |

Rep Power: 71 | Okay guys I sprayed my face again(I have freckles and one age spot) and one of my customers who has age spots on hands. They blended, The only thing I can think of that gets darker when sprayed is melasma(found in the upper dermal layer) not age spots(found in the lower dermal). One of my clients I treat has malasma and when I spray her the areas get darker. I am not sure why but my customers and myself who have dark age spots they don't get darker. The only thing I can possibly think of is people are confusing age spots for malasma otherwise I am confused!!! I am not trying to prove anyone right or wrong I am just wondering why this happens to everyone but me. My age spot blends as well as my freckles and I have tested this on many people and they get the same results. Can anyone ad to this discussion. Thank You |

Rep Power: 24 | well first Thank's cause I thought you were just trying to disagree....lol I have several clients that don't want thier face sprayed because it shows their freckles more. I sprayed a lady that had age / liver spots all over her arm & legs, she looked terible as the spots got really dark.Did you wait to see her results the next day (I'm sure that you did) maybe it has do do with the color of the spots on everyone some lighter some darker ?? |
