Rep Power: 20 | I don't recommend tanning again until the burn is gone. Most likely, the 2 minute increase was too much. Please wait until the burn is completely gone and apply aloe or a burn relief gel to ease the pain. Tanning before the burn heals will only cause the burn to get worse. Once the burn is gone, you should reduce your session length to at least 18 minutes (I would drop to 17 personally) and stay there for at least 3 sessions before moving up again. If you notice any burning at all, wait until it heals and decrease your time again. And I also don't recommend tanning every day, especially while building a base tan. Every other day is sufficient to build your tan and decreases your chances of overexposure from compound damage (in other words, if you were just on the edge of burning one day and then tan again the next, you almost certainly will burn that second day). It is important to remember that tanning is not a race. |
