Recently joined a tanning salon to build a base tan before going to the Caribbean. Have normal skin. Went three days straight - 8,8,10 - level 2; on third day, got dramatically red because I didn't use as much lotion because I can't stand the smell and maybe I was too aggressive in tanning. How long should I quit for before trying again - a few days? a week?
Is there any lotion out there recommended that is unscented -- I've tried two from my salon and the smell is just too much. I am taking multiple showers to rinse it off. |

I agree with nav, Sheer Wisdom by Designer Skin regarding lotion, and I hope you are not tanning in a 10 min. bed. Depending on your skin type, you may want to start in a level one bed for a few visits and work your way up. Definitely let the salon know of your burning visit so that they can be aware and make corrections in your case. Good Luck!

If you are still red as a lobster. Get a box of arm & hammer and put the whole box in a cool tub of water. Soak about 15 minutes or as long as you can tolerate. This will help draw the heat and redness out of your skin. Also, I agree Sheer Wisdom is an okay lotion.
