i notice by skin gets noticably cleaer when i go into beds but does this acutally work WITHOUT uv rays?

I've heard of various light or laser therapies for treating acne, but I think it's incredibly expensive and most insurance plans don't cover the it. I used to get 2-3 huge, painful zits, that leave deep scars for years (even when you don't pick) and I went through 1 and half years of antibiotics and finally my dermatologist just put me on accutane, which I think works wonders... I'd try that route first...

As for tanning to clear up zits... it dries out your skin, so you might stop breaking out temporarily... but then your skin will start producing more oil to make up for the dryness and you could break out more... just make sure you are using a good non-pore clogging moisturizer and you should be fine though...

My skin is has an olive tone, but I still tend to sunburn when it dries in the sun or from the tanning beds and then, watch out! It becomes so oily for the next week or two. I'm not sure about any lazer things, but there are PLENTY of at home remedies you can use! I like to use the ground cinnamon & milk mixed, apply it to your pimple over-night, rinse off in the morning and your pimple should be gone. There is also some talk about, you can use your own urine, which i would NEVER do, it seem's G-R-O-S-S, but EVERYONE who has tried it says it works wonders=O! Well, there is urine in a lot of things though, try even cocoa butter! I use cocoa butter everyday! Anyways, I can get some links for pimple remedies if you would like...just post if so..thanks
