I know someone who has rosacea on her face and wants to try tanning. Has any one had experience with this before, and if so, what were the results. Obviously we would start we very low exposure times.

One of my former employess had rosacea and tanned. It did not seem to have an affect one way or the other. You do have to be careful if they are using a medication for the condition though.

I have rosacea on my face and I tan with no problems. When I don't tan, my cheeks and nose are bright red, when I do tan the redness goes away. I had no problems when I used my prescription cream for it and tanned. And lately I have been tanning and not even using the cream. I do start out slowly and even though I do have a good base tan, I still only go in the 20 min. units for only 15 min.

my doctor suspects i have a mild case of resacea on my chest. i have 4 or 5 red bumps semi-scattered on my chest. i've been tanning on and off for over 10yrs and first started to notice this towards the end of last summer. heat and excercising makes them look worse. the cream that he gave me did not help so he's referred me to a dermatologist who i'm going to see on apr. 6th. i've heard positive and negative feedback from tanning when i (may) have this condition. what are your thoughts? i know when i had some acne on my face... the tanning bed helped... but i don't want to tan if it's going to make my chest worse. any feedback would be greatly appreciated. )
