As long as tanning is done in moderation it will not cause wrinkles.Tan with a great lotion ,use a facial accelerator, always use a tan extender after shower.Drink LOTS of water.Genes has alot to do with wrinkles! So does stress.Hydrate from the inside out!!

What tan extender do you suggest using on your face if it is somewhat sensitive?

I am new to indoor tanning myself. My bestfriend convinced me to start tanning mainly because I will be wearing yellow for her wedding in August. My question is, how do you get your shoulders tanned in a tanning bed? I am having problems getting my shoulders to tan. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try using a stand-up unit.

or don't use the head pillow. Sometimes the pillow will make your sholders harder to tan since they are not exposed as much.

Well put. To add a few things...

Moderation = Don't tan more than once in 48 hours - your skin needs time to recover it's vital nutrients that were lost during the tanning session. And never, ever tan if you're burnt. Burns do not turn into tan. Moderation is different for everyone...so you may need to wait longer between tanning sessions, but the idea is to give your skin ample time to heal before the next session.

And, if you want to avoid wrinkles, be careful in the natural sun. I always use at least an SPF of 15 if I am going to be out for longer than 30 minutes. Unlike indoor tanning, you never know exactly how much UV exposure you're getting in the natural sun.

The back of my shoulders are tanning but it is the front of my shoulders that are barely tanning because I barely have my head on the pillow just the edge. By not using the pillow will my head get warm and burn or can I use a towel to have something under the head? I am also having problems with the sides of my stomach tanning so I started putting my arms above my head and laying with my legs twisted to one side but am still having a slight problem getting it even. I am using a bronzer, step 2, because I already have a base tan. I also own step 1 bronzer and a tan accelerator lotion. I am using a shower wash for tanning and a moisturizer /tan extender for after my showers on the days I don't tan. Thank you in advance for any help/advice.

The best way to even out your tan is to use a standup.

Make sure you don't tan your face too much. You also have to take care of your skin when you're not tanning. Sunlight can help with my acne, but I have very unhealthy skin, so I have to use a combination of coconut oil, and vitamin E in the kinerase line because it's the only thing that will work. You can find it here: http://kinerase.00freehost.com. I've tried everything including just just toweling dry after water. It seems that the natural tendency of my skin is to be prone to acne, but I have had great results since going tanning.
