Rep Power: 0 | I have been tanning for about a year now, but yet have never thought of actually moisturizing after tanning. I have started to get lines around my torso, and I was wondering if that was from tanning... The Salon I go to I'm not sure if they carry any kind of moisturizers, because I know that there are some kinds made by tanning lotion companies, or would any kind of moisturizer help? and like what? |

Rep Power: 107 | Have a look locally and see what you can find as far as moisturizers from well known indoor tanning lotion manufacturers. Many of them are of great quality and will help extend the life of your tan. I carry Forge Tan Extender from NovObronz, and another from Fiesta Sun. Body Drench also has a nice moisturizer . Your salon is missing out by not carrying any at all. |

Rep Power: 20 | Moisturizing after you tan helps keep a longer lasting better looking tan. After the tanning bed turns off the tanning process is still continuing. It is important to keep your skin moisturized during and after this process. Tanning lotions used in the tanning bed do that very thing. Moisturizers after tanning continues to keep skin hydrated. Moisturizers used for tanners have different ingredients than moisturizers found in any common store. Mineral Oil is an ingredient to look for. If a moisturizer has mineral oil in it; it will not help your tan. Mineral Oil reflects uv light, because it sits on the surface of the skin. While moisturizers that are found in your tanning salon are aloe based or water based these are obsorbed into the skin which helps "soak in" uv light. DS Angel is great, SB Endless is a great one too. |

Rep Power: 0 | My favorite is Luminous by Matahari...I almost bathe in it! Tanning salon quality is different than generic store lotion. It is designed for your tan to last longer and feed Vitamins to your skin. You will notice a difference in your tan but your skins texture and some lotions are made for fine lines and wrinkles. |
