Skin Care - Salon Add-ons (mini profit centers) - tanTALK

I carry several skin care / weight loss / anti-aging products in my salon and have been very successful at it. Are other salons carrying these types of products and if so, how has it worked for them. I am also looking for other items to carry in the salon that compliment the tanning industry.

tdombroe, I was looking at your site. Very nice. The only question I have is, why do you have a grocery store moisturizer in your salon? The Suave one. Do you sell moisturizer ?

The Suave that I carry in the salons is in each of the rooms and is an added 'feature' of the salon. I do not sell the Suave. I do need to find a wholesaler for it!!

Shouldn't you "feature" a moisturizer that you carry?

I carry several 'medium' end products, the line is called SkinTelligence. I also carry a line called Timeless Prescriptions. Great high end products! http://theonly.timelessprescriptions.com My clients have been very happy with both skin care lines.

I have considered 'featuring' a lotion that I carry but so far it hasn't been cost effective. I primarily carry DS and JA and their moisturizers didn't seem cost effective enough to give away in each of the rooms.

I do think I will revisit the idea and see if there is another line or product that would make more 'business sense.'
