1.I know its a silly question but does leaving the fan on when your in the tanning bed give u not as good of a tan if you were to turn it off or does it not matter either way.

2.Also is it better to shower before you tan?
or better not to shower? or does it matter?

and!
3.Some ppl have told me not to shower after you tan for a few hours...

4. can the tanning bed make ur hair lighter after awhile?

just a few silly questions I didnt really know the answers too. thanks

1. Makes no difference, unless it's a reaaally big fan that might cause wind burn.
2. Better before (mho). Showering after is still debatable, but not after if you are using a bronzer.
3. Same as 2.
4. The Uv rays could lighten your hair and/or mess up dye jobs.

I agree with Neon. When we opened our salon, we wanted to get some of the best beds around - and in the end opted for German beds 'Power Tower 8000'. The good thing about them is their fan's being powerfull (but not soooo powerful that they give you wind burn!!!). It has been said that Germany make some of the best beds - if the fans made a difference to the tanning, they certainly wouldn't have put them in!! People just psychologically think that the hotter they are, the better they tan. Think of it like you are on the beach - we are told to be carefull when there is a breeze as we don't realise that we are still catching the rays - the sunbed is much the same.

As for the UV rays changing the hair - it's like anything with UV light, it 'will' alter slightly after an amount of time. But I have been told not to use the sunbed straight after having highlights - as it may send the hair green!! - HAPPY TANNING!!!

For coloured hair their are "covers" available. The Tannie is one of them.

Great tan, isn't it past your bed time though?

UV light will make your hair dry and brittle---highlights- no highlights, whatever. Use a Tannie or similar hair covering that blocks most (if not all) of the UV light. Good shampoo (Biolage, Matrix, etc) will make a difference as well as using an Ionic hair dryer especially for people who tan. I always hear people on these boards complainging about lotion and how salon lotion is better, blah, blah, blah...no one ever says the same for salon quality shampoo on these boards and I believe it has made a huge difference in my hair as well as other tanners. You should make an effort to take care of your skin (by purchasing good quality lotion from your local tanning salon) and your hair- by skipping the Sauve aisle at Wal-Mart.
