okay, this is weird, but bear with me.

One afternoon, I was working at a carwash (under the sun all day), so like usual, I cover myself with sunscreen--i'm on the pale side. That night, I look in the mirror, and could see where I missed applying sunscreen. I had this patch of red (you can even see the handmarks from where i applied).

Well, now that burn has turned into a tan. It's quite the contrast next to my pale skin. I need some advice on how to tan, so the whole color will even out and my spot will go away! I went tanning for the first time yesterday, but see no changes.

go back out into the sun the same exact time you went out the other day. And apply the same sunscreen exactly oposite where you put it the last time and remain in the sun for the same time... that should fix you right up

No offense Tyler, but that is not smart. What you need is a self tanner or start going to a tanning bed to even it out. Start tanning slow and work up. The self-tanner would be an immediate fix, but it would not provide any protection from the sun. A burn is not a tan, it is an injury to the skin. Moisturize and moisturize and moistruize!
