Rep Power: 21 | Jack said~ Quote:I first noticed it about a year ago. When the white part of my skin turns red, it will end up turning back to a white color. The white spots are soft and don't have any type of rough feel. I am really not sure what this is. Does anybody have any pictures on the web that will kind of show what I am talking about? Is there anybody out there that knows what I might could use to fix this? And these same places use to actually be tanned. So not a lifelong issue, "these same places use to actually be tanned." Probably Tinea versicolor. |

Rep Power: 0 | Thanks for the help. It doesn't itch. It doesn't bother me at all. I would just like it to be normal again. It kind of sticks out, because I have a California type tan. I didn't get this at a tanning salon, because I had it before I started tanning. I am using some ointment in case its a type of fungus. I am thinking I have lost pigment color in these areas. Its not life threatening. I have been looking for a doctor that will take insurance to look at this. At first I thought it was just these areas were not use to getting sun, but I have this on one of my wrists. I use to always get sun. The spots are real smooth. When I tan, these spots will turn a little pink and then go back to the white color. If this ointment doesn't work,. I will go to a doctor. How long should I give this ointment? Thanks for the info! |

Rep Power: 23 | If it were yeast - it would not turn red after tanning.... the colony would literally block all UV light.... once treatment begins on sunspots.... you can expect to see the burning of these areas as they get full exposure from the light - but the 'spots' generally don't lift off in perfect circles either..... Is it a life long issue that is only getting noticed now??? Or really a new issue??? Hmmmmmmm |

Rep Power: 21 | It is simply sun spots.....get arrest, or knock-out....its just a fungus....you can also go to a dermatologist, and they will give you a cream that will fix it faster than the stuff the salon has. |
