I was just curious as to some things (these might be silly questions)... When i'm on tanning bed should I turn over at all? Also, I noticed that, since my arms were at my side the whole time, the sides of my body hasnt really developed any color, should I like... put my arms up or something? I dont tend to burn easily, even though this was my first time in a tanning booth -- i'm naturally fairly dark -- but should I put any lotion on my skin for health-sake? thaaanks.

Hi ~

#1- whiter sides .... the Oreo Syndrome .... can be corrected a number of ways.... if the bed you are using is 'open sided' you can help 'blend' the sides by dedicating 3 mins to each side ~ raising your arms can help in the wrap style beds but wont do jack if it is open sided..... or .... switch to a stand up or wrap around style bed every few tans..... I happen to love belly tanning~ but you must never tan on your stomach if you have body jewelry ~

#2 - white, asian, black, latino ~ it makes no difference.... Healthy Moist skin Tans BEST .... and using a good quality lotion is what will help keep your skin healthy .... you also need to INCREASE your daily water intake (remember that for every caffeine drink (soda, coffee, tea) you need to REPLACE 4 oz of pure water....) Avoid cheep lotions and moisturizers (lanolin, bees wax, mineral oils) as they act as an environmental barrier - choking the skins ability to breath and shed and repair it self naturally....

#3 - Out door tanning should always include an appropriate level of sunscreen .... levels are based on your skin type, your current level of base tan, and the location you are in.... Cancun requires a tad more than say... Minnesota
