Rep Power: 27 | A tanning/video place a few miles from me is offering Airbrush tanning. We had a lady bring her daughter to us today for Airbrush . Pam and I bout fell in the floor when she told us of some of the things they told her. 1. Use table salt to exfoliate with. 2. You can also use sand. 3. You can also you a pumice stone on your whole body to get the dead skin off. The mother went in the room with daughter while getting sprayed. She watch Pam and was amazed at the difference in application. Evidently the other place sprayed about 1" from the body. The solution was dripping off the body! Had very bad streaks and her hands and feet were orange. Lets' see, what else did she say.....Oh they had to stand on a rug that other's had been sprayed on so the bottom of the feet got stained, the walls had spray on them where they had not cleaned after the prior spray.... Oh my it was a mess by her discription...... She was very happy to have found us and very happy with out facility and professionalism. |

Rep Power: 22 | Sounds like my competition... (She just went out of business...) We had a customer come in... She says "I was airbrushed at xxxx and it looked awful I was very orange and streaky. I called T and told her that I did not look right and that I was not happy and would like a refund.. She told me that it did not look right because I was fat and I needed to concentrate on loosing weight before complaining about a tan..." We do not currently do airbrushing.. Wanted to get other things set first.. Will look into this this year in Nashville.. |

Rep Power: 24 | It takes all kinds Mitzi.... Remember sometimes a solution will create an orange tinge no matter how good the application is... Remind your clients also to NEVER use any product that has natural oils in it before an application.... Feet will stain if not protected... We had a few bad experiances....people will tell you they did exactly what you told them to do..when the fact is they did not....... It is a personal service and sometimes you just can't make a person see they MUST follow what you say to get the BEST results.. Best to you all on this service, C |

Rep Power: 0 | It sounds like the exfoliation suggestions of a SPA and not a tanning salon, salt ... maybe they were referring to dead sea salt. Sand has become a huge trend in spa therapies at the trade shows lately, mixing it with various oils and waters to scrub. That is in essence what mircodermabrasion would be without the machine, sand ... diamonds ... glass etc. Always tell your clients when tanning to use a synthetic exfoliator bead found in a water based cleanser, or an enzyme exfoliant. |
