Most importantly

"Tinea versicolor is not contagious."

So NO ALCOHOL ON THE BED.

Which proves the point made that it can not be "caught" when using a tanning bed....this was in "another" thread where one post said her doctor had stated that that is how she got HER white spots. Thanks Engfant....point proven.

But, the information that Cutting Edge provides is the SAME information that I was supplied.

You are going to find that in some cases YOU are actually smarter than the jerk funneling the information. NEVER TAKE ANY INFO YOU RECEIVE AS THE BE ALL END ALL. The "Pros" seem to change their minds all the time OR they NEVER bother to update their information.

Thanks for the info Engfant. Makes more sense, cause I've seen guys with short/no hair with it on their arms/back.
Then there's the stupid people that use the selsum or w/e for 2 weeks & say it didn't work cuz the spots are still there. Well duh...those areas haven't been tanning -takes time for them to catch up with the rest! And then there's the stupid people that believe EVERYTHING their derms tell them so that makes them 'well educated in tanning'. Whatever!

The white spots can be caused by three main things.
1. Tinea Vesicolor- which FALLS FROM YOUR HAIR! ( also referred to as SUN SPOTS! yes they can be treated...selsun blue, arrest, halt, lotrimin...or your doctor. Dont worry!
2. Pressure Points - where you were laying in the tanning beds.
3. or Vertiligo - areas of you body that DO NOT produce enough melanin. Therefore, will not tan! Can be treated by a physician.

It's not good for an employee to have a skin condition. You're right, it is reflecting on your business! I found this stuff called Pedinol Fungoid Tincture is supposed to help with this condition. Here are the ingredients: Miconazole Nitrate 2% USP. Inactive Ingredients: Phenylcarbinol, Isopropyl Alcohol (30%), Water, Acetic Acid (Glacial), Laureth-4. Good luck, you don't want to have to get rid of the employee, just the condition.
