Hi Chris,

I am glad that I finally found you again! Julie gave me a heads up where
you went and I have been following your new skin forum on Tantoday. Since I
am not a salon owner, I do not feel right about posting where I am not
supposed to but I did want to touch base with you on some things of concern
to me.

I absolutely adore the products I have bought from your salon (Chameleon
Sun tanning and moisturizer, Finale, the foam cleanser, the pineapple
exfoliant and the dermatologic brand of facial moisturizer and eye
moisturizer that I requested from Julie). I would dearly love it if I lived
closer and could have a day at your salon but I am probably 8 hours or so
away and that is not feasible. You have made such a difference in how I
feel about my skin and have taken away the guilt, yes guilt, that I have
let other people put on me by wanting to tan. As much as I have heard in my
life about the evils of tanning, I am sure you have heard it all and then
some. I now have a little information on how the lies of the anti-sun
industry seem to be in direct scientific contradiction to the truth and the
"evil" isn't all that they crack it up to be.

With that said, I was hoping to be able to find a salon (?) where I could
go for some specialty facial treatments (like you provide at
Transformations) up here where I live and I did converse with a lady who is
currently going to school to become an aesthetician and she recommended
that I start off with a facial and we go from there since I have "good
skin" according to her. However, she and I already went a round or two
about the whole sun/UV thing and I just am exasperated with people. Of
course, I am the stupid one in her eyes and I absolutely cannot stand to be
treated that way. I am fairly young (33) and intelligent and I, too, have
done research and understand that in moderation tanning is a good thing. Do
you have any recommendations on how to find a salon close to where I live
or is there anything I need to watch out for when looking for a salon to go
to? I do live in Florida so I am sure all the salons here will probably be
under the same regs as you are with regard to that. I am just hoping to
find someone to work with me and not against me in all my skin endeavors.

I can also tell you that since beginning tanning this season, I believe
with all my heart that this has lessened my need for the medication that I
had been placed on, an SSRI, and I believe that tanning does have the
healing effect that I have read about with how the UV affects your brain. I
have tapered off my medication completely with my physician's permission
and I am holding my own and I feel great!

Dear Chris, I just want to take the time to thank you and Julie for
spending time with me. It is obvious that you really care about the way
people take care of themselves.

I know you are exceptionally busy but if you have the time to drop me a
line, I'd love to hear from you.
