Rep Power: 24 | Is it acne Mike or out break? If it is looking bad Mike....see a Derm. they can give him anti-biotics if needed or a topical medication... Is he washing too much? or not enough? A lot of people mistake out break in teenage skin for Acne.... Is it on the face only....or chest and back also???????? Describe it....and his life style along with diet and we can go from there.. Rep Power: 24 | minocycline can cause the teen to have a lack in wanting food.......... no desire for it at all.... this is NOT good ......... Some teens have been known to give up food when taking this medication.............. we need to see if its Acne or just teen skin |

Rep Power: 24 | My twins use a product they get from the Dermatologists. It's a cream called Benzomycin. It clears them right up. They use it on their back too! Another product you may want to try is Pro Active Solution . I have seen and heard great things about this product. But like Christine said, you may want to go to the Dermatologist! Good luck! I remember those Acne days! Poor kid. |

Rep Power: 24 | If by nature it runs in the family Mike see the Derm. ... Certain foods you and the rest of family enjoy may cause reaction to your son. The Derm will be able to get him straight. Tell him if it is important to him he get this straight.... he must follow the list given to him by the doctor. Try to get him to wash his hands and not touch his face so much.... also tell him not to over wash the face.........this creates more problems........... Change the pillow cases every other day.....and make sure the phones he uses are kept clean. Acne creates germs....... this is all normal teenage stuff......... Acne is a battle...but if he follows his meds along with proper skin care am and pm. he will survive. Tell him it will get better. See the Derm though. if your son was here by us we'd treat him in a minute..... Let us know what meds the doctor gives him... Rep Power: 24 | Shawnchunn: Hang in there buddy.... it will get better... Try to drink more water during your day.. Don't use harsh products on your skin when washing it... After you see the doctor let us know what he gives you..... Try to stay away from too much soda pop or beverages with alot of sugars or artificial sweetners... Let us hear from you... Remember you are not alone in this battle Shawn.. Chris |
