Rep Power: 0 | First, I saw a post on another forum about mineral oil. i saw that Chris said it was bad especially for babies! Mineral oil is in baby lotion, isn't it? If that is the case, which lotion would be a good alternative to use on babies? And for my other question, I have really dark circles under my eyes. Always have since I was little. Is there anything that I can do to make them less visible, other than putting concealer on? I heard something about Preparation H?? I also heard an iron deficiency could contribute to dark circles. I am a little anemic and hate taking my iron vitamins. Thanks! |

Rep Power: 24 | Some baby lotions may contain mineral oil...Look at the list on the back of the product when picking which "baby lotion" your going to use..... Remember I said that Mineral Oil will not kill you it just is not the choice I would make .....it is looked at with distrust as many many sources have classified it as a comedogenic. For a baby treatment look at products containing milk protein it is well absorbed into the skin and gives a nice gloss and a fine touch by forming a skin film...it has a water holding ability in the range of about a 13%. Remember there are so many nutrients you can use when massaging your baby......look for ones that will benefit them inside as well as outside... Cicles under the eyes come from staying up late nights with the baby.. Try to remember that you need your sleep..... Most of the time dark cicles are because the skin is very thin in that area......... Preperation H can help if the eyes are swollen...we use this trick for make-up application if the person has a bit of a hang over....or was up late and had lack of sleep due to taking care of the baby... Sometimes using a concelor makes the circles look worse.......... Hope this helps... C _________________ Christine' Cub Reporter [ This Message was edited by: fungirlz on 2003-03-06 13:36 ] |

Rep Power: 0 | OH! I don't have a baby yet! LOL But my husband and I are thinking about it so I thought I would ask in advance. I must admit, I do not get enough sleep. On average, I probably get about 5-6 hours a night. Plus, I work 14 hour days, so that doesn't help either. Lately I have been trying to get better about going to bed earlier, eating better and taking my vitamins. Thank you for your reply!! It is much appreciated! |
